Sigma Alpha Epsilon #wvalphasae

In these blogs, we learn that sigma alpha epsilon is a fraternity dedicated to the true gentleman. They discuss about the reunion and different events they are having coming up. in the Kansas blog it talked about there reunion event and discussed it inviting the public, this was a idea that i thought the West Virginia alpha chapter do as well. The blog also talks about scholarship and the requirements required for the chapter. This section seems to make the blog just for members and potential members it was pretty cool and a idea that we should take when it comes to succeeding our goals.

The most disturbing thing i seen when viewing blogs is about the Yale chapter removing its self from the national chapter considering its self independent and us as a chapter in the national sense are a whole and its very disgraceful to separate yourself. when the creed takes place it states that we are always going to be brothers and brothers for life. So i think that there blog was kind of distasteful.

This article was a little short and it says and i quote, " In 1856, The True Gentleman was born. No, we aren't talking about Leo in Great Gatsby, we're talking about a group of over 336,000 men who have joined the fraternity of Sigma Alpha Epsilon since the 1850s." This blog was a short and sweet one just discussing there membership and how many members  we have  in the national chapter which should be included in our blog if we like.

This article gave a personal story about a member in the SAE chapter who was in the military who was killed in the line of duty. they discuss the dead member in the chapter and how it felt to lose a brother that they cared so much about. i thought it was interesting that SAE did not focus on just recruitment like i wanted but to include there personal lives and what brother hood meant to them.

In this article it discussed about the philanthropy that they were doing with the environment and how they are making it better.  I think this shows how our national chapters are doing great for the community. They are also discussing how we should maintain our environment. They also discuss what details go into the positions of the chapter and we can still this idea and discuss the positions we have and the ones we have available.
